Dr. Kim Pollack, DC

A former registered nurse who found chiropractic as a patient first — and never looked back.

Dr. Kim Pollack, DC — chiropractor in Groton, CT

Our mission is simple: everyone who walks through the door should feel welcomed, heard, and hopeful — and leave functioning and feeling more like themselves.

From nursing to chiropractic

Before she was a chiropractor, Dr. Kim was a registered nurse. As a nursing student, she injured her back lifting a patient — and nothing she tried, from medication to physical therapy, gave her lasting relief. On a friend's suggestion she finally saw a chiropractor, and within a few weeks she was back in the gym and back to finishing nursing school. That experience changed the course of her life.

What drew her in wasn't just getting out of pain — it was discovering chiropractors who cared about helping the body function better by taking pressure off the nervous system, not just chasing symptoms. "I don't think I would have become a chiropractor if it was only about pain," she says. "I was excited that I could help the body work the way it's supposed to."

Training and method

Dr. Kim earned her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life University. Early in her career she worked alongside a busy upper-cervical chiropractor and trained in the precise Blair upper cervical technique — a gentle method she still uses today, especially for babies, children, and delicate cases. She opened her own practice and built it around getting to the root of the problem rather than managing it.

Finding ABC — as a patient

Over the years, Dr. Kim lived with her own recurring back pain from that old injury. Searching for something better, she found Advanced Biostructural Correction (ABC) — and went in simply as a patient. Her first adjustment felt unlike anything she'd tried before. "I just remember not wanting to move," she recalls. "After all the different things I'd done over the years, this was something different — I could feel my body letting go."

She has practiced ABC since 2009, and it's now the heart of what she does. "I like to say it gives people a second chance for a better life — it undoes the things that have happened to the body."

Energy work

Dr. Kim has also practiced Pangu Chi Gong energy work since 2001 and is a licensed instructor of its moving form. For years she's offered it quietly to patients who were open to it; now, for the first time, she's making it part of her practice for those who'd like to explore it.

Who she loves working with

Dr. Kim cares for everyone from newborns to seniors. Her favorite patients are the ones who are excited to be healthy — and the families who bring their kids in for true prevention, getting pressure off the nervous system early so the body can function at its best.
